My work is rooted in symbolism ... the exploration of ideas, patterns and the spaces between things. Each piece, whether personal or commissioned, starts with a question and finds its own way to an answer.
I work across painting, drawing, lino printing and whatever medium the idea demands.
Composition and negative space are where I naturally live — I'm drawn to what's implied as much as what's shown. I take on a small number of commissions each year, working closely with each person to make something considered, personal and worth keeping.
